There are many clinical manifestations of hypothyroidism,
although they are subtle and insidious. Hypothyroidism affect many organs which
is why signs and symptoms vary around the body, which include metabolic,
neurological, psychiatric, dermatological, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular,
gynecological and ocular manifestation. Symptoms include cold intolerance,
hypothermia (metabolic), forgetfulness (neurological), dementia (psychiatric), constipation
(gastrointestinal), menorrhagia or secondary amenorrhea (gyenocological),
bradycardia, enlarged heart (cardiovascular). Signs of hypothyroidism include weight
gain due to fluid retention and decreased metabolism (metabolic), parethesias
of the hand and foot which is a burning pain (neurological),
